I spent some time today improving the map data in my local area using the iD editor. As a local, I noticed that several roads were untracted

added roads but i got confused while selecting presets- then i realised the more i do mapping, the better i will get with using presets. Each preset serves a unique purpose.

Few weeks ago i spent time mapping my school in my city, i was soo fun- just wish they could use more updated satelite image.

In the vertical toolbar, you can find a button to change the background imagery. Clicking this button will allow you to switch between different satellite imagery and see if it is newer.

Thanks, It worked!! “esri world imaginary” option added extra details. I hope this layer is catched in browers as default so next time when i map it will show me the same details.

Different parts of the world have different layers that are newer/clearer, and that can change as imagery gets updated(usually every couple of years), so it’s best to periodically keep checking other imagery layers to see if they improved.
