That can often be complex when making automated edits. The "keep bbox size small" thing is just a guideline, and this is a common exception to that, since theres a pretty decent process around the edit itself and prior community consultation.

@dp7, mechanical edits are usually going to have a wide area covered, however they are well documented as per the wiki and forum links.
